ABOUT
Mina Tran is a colorful, chic music-maker. They are of Vietnamese and Chinese descent, born, raised and thriving in Los Angeles, California. They settled in Boston for three years to study film scoring at Berklee College of Music, and graduated in May 2021 with a Bachelor Degree of Music. With them, they brought a positive outlook in life, a history of enthusiastic participation in artistic endeavors, and a soaring imagination. During their many years of musical schooling, they also became adept in playing piano and flute. The knowledge that comes from these skills are key to their writing - from performances, they have experienced many genres, timbres and ensemble sizes.
Mina's current focus is composing music in order to bring life to animated and live action films and television shows. Artists such as Joe Hisashi, Shiro Sagisu, and Louie Zong have been main sources of inspiration for finding their own voice and sound in writing music. They hope that their pieces will be found by listeners who may find joy, solace, memory and satisfaction in auditory art.

It would be the most meaningful when others can connect a moment in time to a moment in their music.
